Meet Scott Ward

A former professional academic teacher and career counselor, Scott had more fun hypnotizing his students than teaching them so he decided to take his show on the road full time!  Scott’s traditional name is "Eagle Dog” which was given to him at the age of 8 in a traditional ceremony in Manitoba by Elder Martin Highbear. This spiritually charged and talented showman started out wowing large crowds as a Native hoop dancer, then on to capture a large following in hip hop music, and eventually found his calling providing wildly funny and entertaining Hypnosis shows for various communities across North America. Hypnotist Scott Ward is the receptacle of four generations of mystic native clairvoyance and spirituality. He follows his First Nations teachings and culture that he received from his "Kookum” or "Grandmother”, his Father and his ancestors past. As a bonus when booking Scott - He will start off reading palms and eyes to connect with his volunteers.

Join Scott Ward in a fun filled hypnotic stage show that keeps you wanting more!

You were a teacher before? Why did you quit?
I had more fun hypnotizing my students than I was teaching them. My classroom is across turtle island now and learning & education is everywhere. I call myself a full time travel teacher!

What are your future plans?
I want to continue doing what I love: Educating & Entertaining with Hypnosis. I was a Director of Photography for my uncles films and do that as a hobby. I am writing my first movie script this year too!

I've seen your show and it is awesome! Where did you get your humor?
My Dad is probably the funniest individual that I know and he rubbed off on me I guess! My dad makes everyone laugh around him and I hope to do the same through out my life.

Is Hypnosis a gift you have?
If education is a gift then - yes. I took drama and stage training, hypnosis training, lots of reading and watching other people do it. My mother always supported my stage presentations whether it was rap music, acting, or the healing arts like hypnosis.

When did you start performing the Native American Hoop Dance?
When I was 7 years old, I went to the local Selkirk Indian & Metis Friendship Center and stayed with it ever since. George Bear taught me to hoop dance and passed on the traditional hoop dance to me. In 2008 it was a pleasure to see my father break in his new traditional pow wow dance outfit at the Brokenhead Pow Wow in Manitoba. He encouraged me and my brothers for years and now it was his turn to shine.

Any messages for the youth?
Do what you love doing and don't stop till you make it! Exceed expectations! Do what you love and be who you are. I have been creating a new brand of Hypnosis since 2004 and have been breaking down barriers and excelling in ways that I never though possible. Step out of the box and the norm and you will be rewarded in your journey. Also most importantly - invite positive people into your life and bring people with you where ever you go. Life is all about the journey and creating bonds and close friendships.

What else do you do?
The most important relaxation for me is being a father and teaching my boys my super hero knowledge. I like to travel and make new friends where ever my gigs are. Multimedia has always been an interest for me!
